Fu - tu - rama

Futuramacomposition640_1

Fu - tu - rama. A friend of mine used to pronounce it that way, so did I for a short time. The title of the series, from the creators of the Simpsons is pronounced as Future-rama, even though it is spelled Futurama.

Anyway, I got myself the whole complete series of Futurama. Had lots of fun watching it and reminiscing about old college time when the whole gang of us, (Alan, Kenny, Lionel and Michael) would gather together each Sunday to watch Futu-rama. How I wish, we could go back to simpler times, less cares about careers and women. Ha ha, well the correct phrase would be less cares about careers and NO WOMEN.

Good site for Futurama stuff: http://www.gotfuturama.com/

But anyway, for any of you that reading this blog and is a Futurama fan and would like to view the series again, do let me know.

P.S. Kenny, Christmas Leela is for you.

Klingonish

Nerd Alert. The following post is meant for nerds and Trekkies (which is basically the same thing). If you are handsome/beautiful or sophisticated or do not have any engineering degree/diploma, do yourself a favour and skip this post.

Fellow allies of the Klingon Empire (and Federation spies alike),

This is indeed a good day to die, I present to you the ultimate source to speaking klingon.

http://www.kli.org/tlh/pIqaD.html.

For a while now, I thought there was never a way to translate basic english into Klingon. I thought that people in the studios just made it up. They put in a grunt here and a grrrr there, in such a way that the klingons look extra macho. But I was wrong. Through that link you will find what you need to speak klingon and when you are done, please teach me. Until then I think I am going to stick with the subtitles.  Anyway here is a few examples:

Yes = HISlah

No = qhobe'

Where is the bathroom = nuqDaq 'oH puchpa' 'e'

Its a good day to die = Heghlu' meH QaQ jajvam

Parenting

I haven't updated for while and let me tell you, being a parent is tough. Children are so demanding nowadays you don't really have time to update your blog.

Now that I got your attention: No, I haven't made any babies yet, thank God. But something close to that took place today. I have been appointed Godfather to one of the boys, whose class I have been helping to run. It was a last minute thing, my God son could not find anyone to be his God father, so guess who was the lucky person that got picked, ta da, yours trully. But it ain't as bad as it seems. In the Catholic tradition, it was quite an honour. It means that I am deemed as trust worthy enough to be able to take care of the kid if he runs into any trouble. Hopefully I can live up the family's expectation.

Anyway, this is still my first day at work as Godfather so if I run into an interesting, I will keep you guys updated.

Anyway, now that I am officially the God father, I think I have the right to say this now. So I would like to end this post by saying this: "Be a cool or I AM GOING TO MAKE YOU AN OFFER YOU CAN'T REFUSE, comprendere?"
